Speaker Cleaner Terms of Service

The rules, safety responsibilities, limitations, and disclaimers that apply when using Speaker Cleaner.

Last updated: 2026-07-30

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (Terms) govern access to the public Speaker Cleaner website and browser-based cleaning tool (together, the Site). By accessing or using the Site, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or play the cleaning audio.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. If you have not reached the age of legal majority where you live, you may use it only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms.

What the Tool Does

Speaker Cleaner is a free browser-based utility that plays selected audio patterns through the speaker chosen by your device. The current tool provides guided 60-second modes intended to help move loose surface water or light debris near a speaker opening.

The Site:

  • does not inspect, diagnose, open, dry, or physically repair your device;
  • does not guarantee that water, dust, or debris has been removed;
  • cannot reach liquid elsewhere in a device, reverse corrosion, restore seals, or repair damaged hardware; and
  • is not a substitute for the device manufacturer's instructions or a qualified repair technician.

The audio files are delivered by the Site and played through your browser. Nothing is installed merely by using the cleaner.

Safe and Responsible Use

You are responsible for deciding whether your device is safe to operate and for following all on-page safety instructions. In particular:

  • use the tool only on a device you own or have permission to handle;
  • disconnect headphones, Bluetooth audio, charging cables, and other external audio routes before starting;
  • keep a device that may contain moisture disconnected from power and place it securely on a dry surface with the affected grille facing downward;
  • begin at a moderate level, approximately 60 to 75 percent, and increase only if the tone remains clean;
  • do not hold a playing speaker close to your ear, and stop immediately if the sound causes discomfort, sharp distortion, scraping, or crackling;
  • use short cycles with breaks rather than continuous loud playback; and
  • stop using the tool and seek qualified help if the device was submerged, exposed to salt water or another contaminating liquid, becomes hot, smells unusual, swells, restarts, shows internal moisture, or behaves unpredictably.

Do not power on, charge, or continue testing a device that may be electrically unsafe merely to use this tool. Device-maker safety and warranty instructions take priority over guidance on the Site.

No Repair, Medical, or Professional Advice

The Site provides general information and a convenience tool. It does not provide repair, engineering, medical, hearing, insurance, or warranty advice. References to common symptoms do not constitute a diagnosis. For significant liquid exposure, physical damage, electrical symptoms, hearing concerns, or persistent problems, consult an appropriate qualified professional.

Results May Vary

Results depend on the speaker design, enclosure, grille, drainage path, type and amount of contamination, prior damage, volume, and how the tool is used. Improvement is not guaranteed, and clearer sound after a cycle does not prove that the rest of the device is dry or undamaged.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the Site unlawfully or on a device you are not authorized to handle;
  • interfere with, overload, disable, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or related systems;
  • introduce malware, malicious code, or deceptive content;
  • use automated access in a way that degrades the Site or evades reasonable technical controls;
  • misrepresent an affiliation with Speaker Cleaner or a device manufacturer; or
  • copy, repackage, or resell the Site's branded content except as allowed by an applicable license or written permission.

Access may be restricted or terminated when reasonably necessary to protect the Site, users, or third parties, or when these Terms are violated.

Intellectual Property and Software Licenses

The Site's branding, copy, design, and original media are owned by the operator or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party names, software, and materials remain the property of their respective owners.

If source code or assets are distributed with a separate license file, that license governs your use of those distributed materials. These Terms do not reduce rights granted by an applicable open-source or source-code license.

Third-Party Brands, Links, and Services

References to device brands, products, or operating systems are descriptive only. Unless expressly stated, Speaker Cleaner is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple, Google, Samsung, or any other device manufacturer.

The Site may link to manufacturer guidance or other external resources. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. Speaker Cleaner does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices.

Availability and Changes to the Tool

The Site or any mode, audio file, feature, or content may be corrected, updated, limited, suspended, or discontinued at any time. Continuous, error-free, or universal browser and device compatibility is not guaranteed.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and its content are provided as is and as available, without express or implied warranties, including warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, safety for a particular device, or successful results. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so part of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site operator and its contributors, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for device damage, data loss, loss of use, hearing discomfort, business interruption, or repair costs arising from or related to use of the Site.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or mandatory consumer rights that apply to you. You remain responsible for backups, device care, volume selection, and deciding when to stop testing and seek professional help.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains how the Site handles local audio playback, technical request data, and browser preferences. It forms part of these Terms.

Governing Rules and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to the Site operator and your use of the Site, without limiting mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence.

Severability and Entire Agreement

If a provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement for use of the public Site, except where a separate written agreement or software license expressly applies.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated when the Site, operating arrangements, or legal requirements change. The revised date will appear at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site when reasonably required. Continued use after revised Terms take effect means you accept them.
